This student research paper examines how archaeological conservation and urban development can coexist in contemporary cities through two case studies: The Big Dig at The Rocks in Sydney and the Metropol Parasol in Seville. It marked an early step in my thinking about how cities hold, reveal and reshape archaeological memory.
